Are Glass Skyscrapers an Environmental Mistake?

An architect behind London’s 30 Mary Axe skyscraper – also known as the Gherkin – has suggested that it’s time to rethink glass buildings.

“The Gherkin is a fantastic building and I think it’s the most liked building in the UK at the moment, architect Ken Shuttleworth told BBC in an interview. “I think if you were designing it today you’d probably make it different…it wouldn’t be the same product all the way around the building.”
