Sustainable Expectations: An Interior Perspective

Australians typically spend upwards of 90 per cent of their time indoors and the interior design industry is seeing the market committed to creating sustainable indoor environments expanding rapidly.

Expectations have grown when it comes to designs that ensure the built environment and its interiors promote human health and well-being, and products are being sourced that support renewable energy, green lighting and efficient water solutions.

Darren Palmer, a designer, writer, speaker and a full time judge on The Block 2013 agrees that sustainability has now moved from a trend to an expectation in the interiors industry.
